The new caps feature an “easy tear-off” opening on the exterior and a custom QR code on the interior as well as each bottle’s unique identifier.
Azmera, a new startup based in Napa, Calif., is offering consulting services for Oracle’s JD Edwards software for the wine and agricultural sectors. The new company claims several of largest wine companies in the United States already use JD Edwards but until now there has been no consultancy set up specifically for the wine industry.
Dosatron International Inc., introduced a new 1.5” nutrient delivery system kits that include a starter set up, mixing chamber and monitor and are designed to provide nutrient management for larger operations. The delivery system can accommodate up to eight dosers.
Vertiflo Pump Company’s new Model 1400LF “Low Flow” pump is designed for a wide range of applications including grape must, wine, wash down and spray washers. The pump has a capacity of up to 50 gallons per minute, GPM, and can handle temperatures up to 250°F.
West Control Solutions’ Vinireg+ and Oenoreg+ are dedicated wine-production temperature controllers that feature just four buttons to make heating or cooling control selection and temperature adjustment easier. According to the supplier, each controller provides the necessary features to manage temperatures during production.
Zemplen Barrels is now offering the Oenocat ozone wand for sale in the North American market. The device is made by the German supplier Anseros and is designed to be inserted through the bunghole or mortise of barrels and will then generate ozone gas to kill any microbes on the surface as well as the narrow gaps between staves.
