Yale Materials Handling Corp., introduced its new MPB045-VG heavy-duty walkie-pallet truck. The new lift features Yale’s “Smart Lift” system that allows a user to begin transporting the pallet before the unit is at full lift. For better stability and maneuverability, the truck’s control handle is positioned through a mid-mounted, shortened design. Lift, lower and horn push buttons are located near the operator’s grip. NAPA, Calif., March 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- According to a recent market research study on wine closures conducted by Tragon Corporation, 93 percent of U.S. wine consumers associate natural cork with higher quality wines, while only 11 percent of U.S. wine consumers believe wines sealed with a screw cap to be of high quality. Similar results were found in both Germany and Australia. In Germany, 93 percent of wine drinkers and 85 percent in Australia associate natural cork with higher quality wines. Participants in both the U.S. and Germany went even a step further to indicate that natural cork is a positive influence on their purchase decisions whereas screw caps and synthetic closures can deter a purchase.

With the new anti-counterfeit system by Selinko, each bottle of wine is fitted with a near field communication (NFC) chip to prevent counterfeiting. A smartphone scanning app is used to authenticate the bottle as well as confirm its provenance through shipping and retail channels.
