Randox released the RX Monaco, the latest addition to its RX series of wine analyzer equipment. The unit is available as a bench top or stand alone and at “optimal configuration” can perform 170 tests per hour with results available within 13 minutes, according to Randox. The unit can run analysis for acetic acid, copper, ammonia, ethanol, glucose/fructose, iron, lactic acid, malic acid, potassium, total antioxidant status (TAS) and total sulfur dioxide. New Holland introduced its new T5 series of tractors, which come in a range of engine powers from 98 to 115 horsepower. The tractor cab is designed for operator comfort with key controls placed to the right of the driver on an ergonomic console, according to product information by New Holland. A category II rear, three-point hitch offers a lift capacity of 6,393 pounds at 24 inches behind the ball ends. The new MacroTote 5-FV by Macro Plastics and Calpine Containers is a single-piece, injection-molded collapsible tote. According to the manufacturer, the tote’s lightweight construction and ergonomic handles allow for easier handling in the field. The tote weigh 1.37 pounds and have a peak depth of 6.3 inches and can handle 36 lbs. of produce. With flip style latches and hinged edges, the reusable tote can fold down flat to 1.34 inches in height, making it more cost-effective for one-way shipments. The company also released its MacroTote 6-FV, which is also designed for easy handling and quick transfer to cold storage. Nomacorc has updated its NomaSense analyzer for measuring total oxygen rates in packaged wine. The new analyzers are equipped with integrated Total Package Oxygen (TPO) calculator to eliminate the need for external software. The manufacturer also reports it improved the software interface for easier navigation, simpler calibration data management and better file management system for improved traceability. An integrated bar code scanner helps sample identification. The unit is also smaller and lighter, designed to truly offer “handheld” use. The new NomaSense should be available this spring.
