CAWG elects Heidi Scheid to chair post
Sacramento, Calif.—The California Association of Winegrape Growers elected Heidi M. Scheid, senior vice president of Scheid Vineyards Inc. in Salinas, Calif., as the association’s chair on Nov. 7. Scheid takes over for Mendocino County grower Bill Pauli, who served for two years. Scheid joined her family’s company in 1992. Prior to joining Scheid Vineyards she served as a senior valuation analyst at Ernst & Young, LLP and as an associate at the venture capital firm of InterVen Partners. Scheid has been a director of Wine Market Council since 1990, and holds an MBA from the University of Southern California.
The CAWG Board also elected Aaron Lange, of LangeTwins Family Vineyards and Winery in Lodi and Dennis Wittchow, of Lent-Burden Farming in Oakdale, Calif., as vice chairs. J.D. Harkey, of Drake Enterprises in Temecula, was elected secretary. Ryan Metzler, of Fruita del Sol in Fresno was re-elected as treasurer. Nat DiBuduo, president of Allied Grape Growers and Carson Smith, of Carson Smith Farming in Fresno, were re-elected as CAWG At-Large Directors.
