NFL player partners in Chateau de Leelanau
Suttons Bay, Mich.—Kyle Cook joins Matt Gregory as part owner of Chateau de Leelanau Vineyard & Winery near Traverse City, Mich. Gregory purchased the winery in 2009 with members of his family as partners. Cook, an offensive lineman with the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals, bought out Cook’s other partners for his share of the winery. In a statement released by the winery, Cook, 31, said he’s considering his options after leaving the NFL. “I’m excited for the opportunity for a second career that I’m equally passionate about.” Cook became interested in the wine business after befriending Gregory during several visits to Chateau de Leelanau.
