Farm workers graduate from literacy program

Napa, Calif.—The Napa Valley Grapegrowers’ announced that 65 farm workers recently graduated from the group's English literacy program. The free program is hosted by the grapegrowers’ Farmworker Foundation and took place at Napa Valley College and the Napa Valley Adult Education. Several companies either paid their employees to attend the evening classes or offered raises, bonuses and other incentives to complete the four-month course, according to a statement released by the growers’ group.
