Traverse City, Mich.—Brothers Carter and Todd Oosterhouse will open Bonobo Winery in their hometown of Traverse City, Mich. The winery is located on the Old Mission Peninsula Wine Trail, and the initial release will include Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc wines made with fruit sourced from the Old Mission Peninsula AVA. According to a news release announcing the opening, the Oosterhouses plan to sell the winery’s initial production of 5,000 cases through the tasting room and e-commerce and a few distribution accounts as production increases to 8,000 cases. Carter Oosterhouse is a design and building expert who has hosted several shows on the HGTV network.
