Soledad, Calif.—Diageo Chateau & Estate Wines announced Yian Lu is the new assistant winemaker at Chalone Vineyard winery located in the Pinnacles area of California’s Central Coast. Lu will work closely with senior winemaker Robert Cook to produce estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines. Lu joins Chalone Vineyard after working harvests in France, Australia and California, including at St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery in Napa Valley.
