Wasco, Calif.—Vintage Nurseries has begun building its new, $25 million greenhouse. Greenhouse expert Conley's designed and is building the new facility that will have a capacity for 4 million vines per pass with approximately 2 million vines ready for the 2016 season. The new greenhouse should be able to produce 8 million vines per season. The greenhouse will feature advanced screening and sealing of all areas with access to the outside as well positive-pressure vestibules around all doorways to protect against pests. An automated potting machine will mix controlled amounts of potting media, fertilizer and water for young vines. The facility will also be home to an autoclave and high temperature steam room for sanitizing pots and trays.
