Hermann, Mo.—Jon Held, former vice president and general manager at Stone Hill Winery, will become the winery’s owner and president, while Thomas and Andrea Held will assume ownership of the winery’s other facilities in New Florence and Branson. Thomas and Andrea Held will operate the new business as Curling Vine Winery. Founded by Jim and Betty Held in 1965, Stone Hill produces more than 250,000 gallons of wine per year.

In a statement announcing the changes, Jon Held said the winery’s increased distribution meant the satellite wineries needed a new strategy and the family decided to spin them off as a separate business. “It presented a perfect opportunity for Thomas and me to create separate businesses that satisfy our individual long term goals.”
