Sacramento, Calif.—Jon Ballesteros is the new president of Family Winemakers of California (FWC), the state's trade organization representing and advocating for the welfare and success of family winemakers and their wineries.

Ballesteros was most recently senior vice president of public policy for San Francisco Travel, the destination marking organization for the city of San Francisco. Ballesteros' background also includes positions with Wells Fargo & Company, Tesoro Corporation, Ultramar Diamond Shamrock Corporation, San Francisco International Airport, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District and the California State Assembly.

"Jon Ballesteros is the right person to lift FWC to new heights," said Bruce Lundquist, FWC board chair and co-owner of Rack & Riddle Custom Wine Services of Healdsburg, Calif, in a statement released by the group. "He brings extensive experience, great passion for our industry, and tremendous enthusiasm for the organization and its future.”
