Geneva, N.Y.—The Finger Lakes Wine Alliance board named Bob Madill as acting executive director as the board conducts a search for a permanent replacement for Julie Caplan who stepped down from the position. Madill is one of the founders of the alliance and a former board chair.

The board thanked Caplan for her work in a statement announcing the change. “"I would also like to thank Julie Caplan who joined the association in January, 2015," said board chair Erica Paolicelli. "Most recently, Julie oversaw the FLWA's first 'Riesling Camp,' which brought wine professionals from NYC to the region for an intensive three-day immersion in the signature wine from the Finger Lakes."
