St. Helena, Calif.—Mark Chandler joined the Wine Market Council as the group’s first membership director. Chandler, a 35-year wine industry veteran and grape grower, will work with the council’s board to increase membership and achieve the council’s primary goal of increasing, strengthening and stabilizing the U.S. market. Chandler is the former executive director of the Lodi Winegrape Commission, former CEO of WineAmerica and Supreme Knight of the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Vine. The Wine Market Council is a non-profit association of grape growers, wine producers, importers, wholesalers, retailers and other wine businesses.
