Napa, Calif.—Oenodia added a second mobile unit for its STARS tartrate stabilization and pH adjustment services. The new mobile unit, built just for the North American market, includes Oenodia’s reverse osmosis technology powered by the unit’s own generator and is faster and more efficient. 

According to the company, STARS, which stands for selective tartrate removal system, utilizes membrane-based, electrodialysis technology to deliver additive-free, sustainable, tartrate stabilization and pH adjustment. The system eliminates the time and expense incurred by cooling tanks, which is traditionally used in cold stabilization and also eliminates wine losses and waste stream generation. Oenodia pledges “100% guaranteed tartrate stability” with its STARS service.
