Winery Job Activity Grows Again Compared to 2013
The Winery Job Index for June decreased slightly from May but stayed substantially above the June 2013 level to continue its long run of positive performance. Hiring activity was up 34% from June 2013, and 12-month hiring activity figures are 23% above where they were a year ago.

Hiring activity for winemaking jobs rose 41% higher in June compared to June 2013, as wineries prepared for what is expected to be an earlier than normal harvest.

The Hospitality Job Index in June trailed off from its high levels earlier in the spring yet remained 57% over the June 2013 level.

Job postings in the winery sales and marketing sector in June were 18% below their June 2013 total, but they appeared to be recovering from a bigger drop in May.
