Winery Job Postings Up 10% From April 2013
Wineries conducted hiring activity in April at a 10% higher rate than April 2013, reflecting confidence in the wine industry economy. The April increase in job postings was driven primarily by an increase in winemaking jobs, according to Winejobs.com, which provides the data.

Winery Job Index

The dramatic growth of winery job postings in March cooled slightly in April yet reached the highest point since the index began in January 2007.

Winemaking Job Index

For the second month in a row winemaking jobs led the three main categories of winery jobs that the index tracks.

Sales and Marketing Job Index

Sales and marketing job activity decreased 2% in April from the level of April 2013.

Hospitality Job Index

The hospitality job index decreased from March to April but increased 4% from its level in April 2013.
