U.S. Winery Production Increasing

The U.S. winery count has grown steadily over the past 12 months. With the sale of the Mark West brand to Constellation, Purple Wine moved from the Large to the Medium level. The Limited Production winery count has dropped for two reasons. On the positive side, they move up into the Very Small group as they ramp up their production. On the downside, they are vulnerable to closure due to local economies, distribution, retirement and other pressures.
