Paso Robles, Calif.—After being ousted from his leadership role by the controlling partners of the winery he founded, Gary Eberle announced he is now staying on with Eberle Winery as its brand ambassador. “This is a new chapter in my life at Eberle Winery, and I can’t imagine doing anything else,” Eberle said in a statement released by the winery. In January, Eberle’s partners voted to remove him from the post of general manager. Willis Blakewell is the winery’s new general manager. Co-owner Rob Flory said the rest of the owners are “extremely happy” Eberle is staying with the winery. “We want to continue to evolve, strengthen our vineyards and position the winery for continued success, and Gary is an important part of this plan.”
