Napa, Calif.—Juan Jose Verdina is the new director of winemaking at Jamieson Ranch Vineyards. A native of Chile, Verdina first came to the United States to work as the enologist at Hahn Estates in the Santa Lucia Highlands in 2002 and eventually was promoted to assistant winemaker. In 2008, he was promoted to winemaker for the Coppa Del Rey brand of Hahn Family Wines and most recently oversaw the development of the Cycles Gladiator Winery in Lodi.
