Bisson retiring from UC Davis

Davis, Calif.—After more than 30 years of teaching and research at the University of California, Davis, Dr. Linda Bisson is retiring from the Department of Viticulture & Enology, effecive Sept. 1. An expert in yeast, Bisson is also credited with elevating the national and international wine industires through her outreach and extension efforts. 

Kay Bogart, program director for the UC Davis V&E extension, said Bisson was "the driving force behind VENSource and later, V&E Extension, she has actively pursued her commitment to the continuing education of all members of the international wine industry. And I, for one, consider myself beyond grateful for the opportunity she has given me to join her in this effort."

Nearly all of the teaching material Bisson used for the initial UCD Extension winemaking class is still available under Enology Resources at ucdavis.edu
