Madera, Calif.—Michael Blaylock has retired as winemaker of Quady Winery after more than 30 years with the company. Replacing Blaylock is Darin Peterson who has been promoted to the post of lead winemaker at the winery that produces more than 100,000 cases per year of Moscato wines and vermouth. Peterson joined Quady in 2005. The company also announced it is close to completing a 22,000-square-foot expansion that will enable it to significantly increase wine production.
