McMinnville, Ore.—ETS Laboratories and Fruition Sciences will co-host the inaugural 2017 Oregon Vintage Report in McMinnville, Ore. on Feb. 8, 2018. The conference will review innovative techniques to grow terroir-driven wines, feature in-depth panel conversations of climate and plant physiological conditions during the 2017 Vintage in Oregon and review new approaches to winegrowing from around the world.

Throughout the symposium, scientists will present recent findings in the field of viticulture and enology. As part of this, the 2017 Oregon Vintage Report will host presentations on the impact climate has on growing and perfecting Burgundian varietals; the analysis of ripening dynamics on berry chemical changes and the effect of harvest timing on wine composition; an analysis of the current knowledge surrounding vine and wine microbiomes and how these aspects can influence terroir; the impact of smoke related issues on vine physiology and wine chemistry. In addition, a panel of winegrowers from around the Willamette Valley will discuss their experiences throughout the 2017 vintage.

The 2017 Oregon Vintage Report will be held at Linfield College, and the keynote address will be given by Linfield’s Director of Wine Education, Gregory V. Jones. All ticketing proceeds for the event will be donated to Salud!. For more information, visit: vintagereport.com
