Global Package
The Doble Alto line of glass bottles by the Spanish packaging supplier Estal Packaging is now available through Global Package in Napa, Calif. The bottles feature a double base that increases height and “product presence” without requiring more glass for manufacturing. “We see it as a revolution in design for the bottle industry,” said Global Package president Erica Harrop.

SGP Packaging
The interior embossing by SGP Packaging can be felt by someone holding the bottle, or the feature can be added to leave the bottle surface smooth to the touch. In a similar fashion, the embossed interior can be just slightly visible or invisible when the bottle is full and revealed as the wine is poured. Fairfield, Calif.-based SGP Packaging is also allowing clients to design a custom punt for an existing stock bottle and is offering bottles in “Tradiver,” an intense, dark green that was created by Verallia France for the Grand Crus Classes of Bordeaux.

Saverglass
The new “Invent” line of premium bottles by Saverglass of Napa, Calif., are “defined by its avant-garde new punt design,” according to the company. “The bottle seems to eloquently melt at its base, creating a curve and fold of lines that organically bloom into a distinct silhouette.” Both styles are available in Bordeaux or Burgundy bottle styles in two colors: extra-white flint glass or antique green.
