Ca' Momi purchases Carneros vineyards

Napa, Calif.—The Ca’ Momi Napa Valley wine company announced its purchase of 10.5-acre and a 9-acre vineyards in the Napa County part of the Carneros AVA. The 10.5-acre vineyard consists of Pinot Noir vines planted in 1973. The other vineyard is comprised of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot. The Pinot Noir vineyard, which Ca’ Momi purchased from winemaker Kent Rasmussen, is permitted for a winery and tasting room. “We are moving forward with plans for a winery on that property,” Dario De Conti, part owner of Ca’ Momi, said in a statement. “It will give us additional winemaking capacity and will also give us a beautiful location for hosting visitors.”
