Windsor, Calif.—Craig McAllister was promoted to the position of head winemaker at La Crema winery in Sonoma County. McAllister first joined the winery in 2007 as harvest enologist and his most recent position was associate winemaker. A native of New Zealand, McAllister has worked in winemakering around the world and has also made Pinot Noir for Wild Ridge with grapes from the Sonoma County Coast. As the new winemaker for La Crema, he will be focused on building the winery’s portfolio of wines from coastal regions with a focus on wines from Monterey County and a Rosé of Pinot Noir that will be expanded into a national program. La Crema is part of the Jackson Family Wines company.
