New leader for Lake County winery group
Lake County, Calif.—Jill Ruzicka is the new executive director of the Lake County Winery Association. Ruzicka is a native of Lakeport, Calif., and spent the last three years working in the county administrative office overseeing destination marketing for Lake County. During her tenure, she instituted the Certified Tourism Ambassador program, oversaw the redesign of the visitor information website, and launched a comprehensive digital and social media marketing campaign to promote Lake County to potential visitors.
Ruzicka worked closely with the Lake County Winery Association’s previous executive director, Terry Derenuik who has retired after leading the association for three years. “Jill has extensive experience in marketing and a passion for Lake County and our wines," Derenuik said in the statement announcing Ruzicka's appointment. "Under her leadership, I am confident that the association will continue to grow and expand the efforts to tell the world about our wonderful wine region. I wish her the best in this important role.”
