Ken Fugelsang, professor emeritus of enology at California State University, Fresno, died Feb. 20, according to friends. He joined CSU Fresno in 1972 and published more than 150 technical papers and 14 books. During his service to the enology program, Fugelsang also managed Fresno State’s 20,000-case commercial winery, where his students received more than 350 awards in major wine competitions. A memorial service will be held this spring.
