Changes at Wine Enthusiast, Advocate
Napa, Calif.—Joe Czerwinski is leaving the Wine Enthusiast after nearly 18 years to become the new managing editor of digital publications for Robert Parker Wine Advocate, Wine Journal and Hedonist’s Gazette. Lauren Buzzeo, former senior editor, was promoted to the managing editor position at Wine Enthusiast magazine.
Czerwinski joins the wine review team of the Advocate and will be covering Australia, New Zealand, the Rhône Valley and Languedoc-Roussillon. Czerwinski formerly reviewed Australian, New Zealand, and Rhône wines for the Wine Enthusiast. The Advocate’s editor-in-chief, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, will no longer be reviewing Australia and New Zealand wines and instead reviewing the wines of California’s Central Coast, according to a post about the changes she wrote on the Robert Parker website.
Wine Enthusiast also appointed Christina Pickard to the role of contributing editor for Australia and New Zealand, and contributing editor Anna Lee Iijima, currently the taster for New York and German, will now also review wines of the Rhône Valley.
