Sales of U.S. Wine Continue Steady 4% Growth
U.S. wine sales totaled $2.6 billion in January 2017, according to market research firm bw166, up 4% from a year earlier. Sales for the 12 months ended January 2017 also increased 4% to $39 billion. Total wine sales, including packaged imports, stood at $59 billion in the 12 months ended January, also an increase of 4%. January is traditionally the low point of the year for wine sales but a steady start to 2017, consistent with 2016 trends, bodes well for the months ahead.
