Napa, Calif.—Eric Laumann is the new director of winemaking at Castle Rock Winery. Laumann has more than 30 years of winemaking experience and previously worked at Kendall Jackson Winery, Chalone Wine Group, Golden State Vintners and Bonny Doon Vineyard. Most recently he was general manager and winemaker at Monterey Wine Co. in King City, Calif. Laumann replaces the winery’s consulting winemaker, Joe Briggs, who is retiring at the end of the year to pursue other interests, according to a statement released by the winery.
