Paso Robles, Calif.—Marcy Mallette is Laffort USA’s new winemaker and technical representative for the Central Coast region of California. While managing an immunology research lab the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, Mallette also took enology classes that inspired her to switch careers and pursue winemaking. After working at several wineries in Napa and Sonoma counties, Mallette managed the Cabernet Sauvignon program at E. & J. Gallo Winery in Livingston, Calif. before joining Laffort USA.
