Petaluma, Calif.—Scott Laboratories announced its Petaluma facility has recently been recognized as a "Sonoma County Green Business" by the Sonoma County Energy and Sustainability Division. According to a press release by the company, Scott Laboratories met the group’s standards through monitoring and recording rates of water and energy usage, optimizing water conservation through the installation of faucet aerators and high-efficiency toilets, recording of solid and hazardous waste generation, remodeling with sustainable materials and low-VOC paint, reducing pollution via prevention programs, recycling office paper and ink cartridges and using efficient lighting systems.
