Guide to understanding FSMA

Ithaca, N.Y.—The latest edition of the Appellation Cornell newsletter features a guide on what winery owners and staff should know about new, federal food safety regulations mandated through the Food Safety Modernization Act, FSMA. Authored by Chris Gerling, enology extension associate at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva, N.Y., and Cortni Stahl a program assistant in the Cornell University Department of Food Science, the guide answers common questions about the new regulations and how they apply to the grape and wine industry and can be found at grapesandwine.cals.cornell.edu
