Sun Automation Group releases its Spectrum printer unit that can run single pass printing on both sides of a corrugated box opening up the inside of case boxes for logos and other marketing copy. The Spectrum unit can be retrofitted to fit nearly any machine and features servo controls and a harmonic drive digital register for accurate sheet control and higher production speeds.

Hanna Instruments released the iris visible spectrophotometer that measures all wavelengths of visible light. The device’s optical system includes a replaceable tungsten-halogen lamp, beam splitter with reference detector and a combined concave grating.

Kubota debuted the RTV-XG850 Sidekick that it describes as its fastest utility vehicle yet. The gas-powered Sidekick has a 48HP engine that can reach 40 mph. Other features include a continuously variable transmission with centrifugal clutch and a steel cargo box that can haul up to 1,000 pounds.

Pall unveiled the Oenoflow FIT, which is a modular crossflow system designed for smaller wineries. The base system is built of stainless steel and employs two high-flow, high-area hollow fiber membranes. The filter features automated filtration and cleaning cycles, and the membranes offer 2.15 square meters of filter area.

PurovinoUS developed a process to use its ozone treatment on grapes to remove smoke and ash compounds from grape skins and juice. The company claims it performed recent field tests on more than 150 tons of grapes to determine how to remove smoke contamination and eradicate volatile phenols responsible for it.
