Victor, N.Y.—Bill Newlands has been promoted from chief operations officer to president and COO of Constellation Brands, which is the third-largest U.S. wine company. Rob Sands, who previously held the title of president and CEO, will continue to serve as CEO. Newlands joined Constellation in 2015 as the executive vice president and chief growth officer and become COO in 2017. Newlands is also a former president of Beam Spirits U.S., Beam Wine Estates and president and CEO of Allied Domecq Wines USA.
