Paterno Is Now Terlato Wines International
Terlato Wines International is the new moniker for the former Paterno Wines International of Lake Bluff, Ill. The change is a tribute to Anthony J. Terlato, who built the company founded by his father-in-law, Anthony Paterno, into a major player in the worldwide wine industry. William A. Terlato is now president and CEO.

McManis Acquires Cabernet Vineyard
McManis Family Vineyards, Ripon, Calif., purchased the 240-acre Liberty Hills Vineyard in the Lodi AVA and Borden Ranch subappellation, currently planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. McManis plans to replant 80 acres with more appropriate clones and rootstock of Cabernet.

Kluge Estate Is Developing Homes
Kluge Estate Winery and Vineyard, Charlottesville, Va., will unveil the first completed home Aug. 15. Owner Patricia Kluge is developing 511 acres of her estate's vineyard property in a joint venture with First Colony Resorts, LLC. More than a dozen of the 24 planned homes will have vineyards; price tags range between $6 million and $23 million.

Growers' Dinner Raises $23,000
The California Wine Grape Growers Foundation's fifth annual Capitol Wine Scholarship Dinner on Mar. 8 in Sacramento set a record in supporting the foundation's scholarship fund. The scholarship program promotes education for the children of vineyard employees. For details, visit cawg.org.

Kokomo Opens Urban Tasting Room

Wilsons Collect $40,000 for Scholarships

Phillips Brothers Buy Lodi Vineyard
