Petaluma, Calif.—Oenofrance, a French supplier of winemaking products and biotechnology, announced it has opened a U.S. subsidiary, Oenofrance USA, in Petaluma, Calif. Founded in 1943, Oenofrance is part of the Bordeaux-based Sofralab Group and some of its notable innovations include a yeast for aromatic white wines and the protocols for the production of freeze-dried lactic bacteria. “Oenofrance USA’s mission is to provide the American wine industry with our expertise, range of products and winemaking counseling by designing personalized protocols using new technologies," said Didier Fages, CEO and president of Sofralab.
