Nomacorc Gains Investor

Summit Partners, a Boston, Mass., private equity and venture capital firm, made a major investment in Nomacorc, LLC, Raleigh, N.C., manufacturer of synthetic wine closures. The investment will support Nomacorc's continued global growth, according to the Noël Group, Nomacorc's parent company.

Guala Closure Wine Packaging Award

GlobalCap North America, Napa-based wine closure office for Guala Closures NA, Italy, was honored with the WorldStar Innovative Packaging Award for its WAK® screwcap closure. Solar Installed at Dutcher Crossing

A 33kW solar electric system, designed and installed by SolarCraft, Novato, Calif., is now providing power to Dutcher Crossing winery in Healdsburg, Sonoma County. With 195 Mitsubishi 170-watt solar panels mounted on the ground and roof, the system generates enough clean electricity to power 26 average homes, and will pay for itself in approximately six years.
