Marcus Notaro was named the new winemaker at Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars in Napa Valley. Notaro most recently served as winemaker at Col Solare winery in Benton City, Wash., in the Red Mountain AVA. Both wineries are owned through a joint venture of Ste. Michelle Wine Estates and Marchesi Antinori. Ted Baseler, Ste. Michelle president and CEO, said Notaro’s skill with Cabernet Sauvignon made him the right fit for the position at Stag’s Leap. Details: cask23.com.
