Moscato Nation waves its flag

Christina Julian recently founded Moscato Nation, an organization that encourages members (including growers, producers and members of the trade) to discuss all things Moscato. Hansen now senior winemaker at Sterling
The 400,000-case Sterling Vineyards, Calistoga, named Harry Hansen its senior winemaker. In his new position, Hansen will lead the Sterling winemaking team and oversee all wine production. Hansen was formerly director of winemaking for the 300,000-case Edna Valley Vineyard, San Luis Obispo, and received a master’s degree in enology from the University of California, Davis. Opus One names Roux vice president of domestic sales
The 25,000-case Opus One, Oak-ville, appointed Robert Roux vice president of U.S. sales and marketing. Responsible for all domestic sales of Opus One, Roux will oversee a sales staff at the winery and four regional managers throughout the U.S. Roux was previously executive director of marketing and sales for Caymus Vineyards. Prior to his seven years at Caymus, Roux served as an executive director for Southern Wine & Spirits, vice president of marketing for Kendall-Jackson and marketing manager for Robert Mondavi Winery.
