Wilsons Purchase Blackstone Winery

Wilsons purchase Blackstone winery
Ken and Diane Wilson purchased the Blackstone Winery in Kenwood. The Wilsons’ firm, Stonecushion Inc., bought the winery from Constellation Brands for an undisclosed price. Constellation retains the brand.

Swanson Winery approved
Napa County officials approved plans for a new 100,000-gallon winery in Napa Valley. W. Clark Swanson Jr. plans to build the 43,600-square-foot winery on a 73-acre property located near the intersection of Oakville Cross and Money roads.

Lodi commission names executive director
A California wine industry veteran, Camron King, is the new executive director of the Lodi Woodbridge Winegrape Commission. King worked as a former vice president of state government relations at the California Association of Winegrape Growers for eight years. Details: lodiwine.com.

Biagi new winemaker at Hourglass
Anthony “Tony” Biagi is the new winemaker for The Hourglass Wine Co. Biagi will be making wines from the company’s two estate vineyards: Hourglass Estate in St. Helena and Blueline Vineyard in Calistoga. Gonzalez founding winemaker at Mira
Gustavo Gonzalez is the founding winemaker at Mira Winery in Napa Valley. He brings more than 15 years of wine-production experience in the United States, Burgundy, Argentina, Brazil, Italy and Spain. Details: miranapa.com.
