WineDirect acquires Vin65

WineDirect, a direct-to-consumer, compliance and fulfillment company, has acquired winery website designer and e-sales consultant Vin65. Andrew Kamphuis, founder of Vin65, will join the WineDirect management team but said the deal should have little effect on Vin65’s current clients or its other fulfillment suppliers. WineDirect has been using Vin65’s e-commerce platform for all of its clients since 2010. Details: winedirect.com, vin65.com.

TricorBraun unveils QA program
TricorBraun WinePak launched a quality assurance program and named Greg Creamer as director. Before joining TricorBraun WinePak, Creamer had been an operations manager for Don Sebastiani & Sons and Rutherford Ranch wineries in addition to working as an independent wine industry consultant. Chandler marketing for SWE
Mark Chandler of Chandler & Co. is the Society of Wine Educators’ new marketing manager on a consulting contract. Chandler has been a member of the group since 1982 and was elected to the board and served as president from 1999 through 2001.

Ehren to lead Key Technology
Key Technology announced that John “Jack” Ehren would succeed David Camp as president and chief executive officer. Ehren has been with Key Technology since 2008, when he joined the company as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Details: key.net.

New sales rep for Scott Labs
Scott Laboratories Inc. added Ashlie Helm to its outside sales team. Helm will be covering the Central Valley and Sierra Foothill areas of California. Before joining Scott Laboratories, Helm worked as enologist at Ferrari-Carano Vineyards & Winery. Details: scottlabs.com.
