Asti, Calif.—Treasury Wine Estates gave Souverain a new look to help revitalize the historic wine brand. “When we sold the Chateau in 2006, the brand went a little quiet,” said John Grant, senior vice president of marketing in a statement. “Not any longer. It’s time for us to tell the brand’s story and tell it with verve.” The new label features a cluster of grapes, California golden bear and a thistle in honor of the original founder Lee Stewarts Scottish heritage. Treasury sold the Souverain winery to Francis Ford Coppola Presents and now makes Souverain wines at its winery in Asti.
