Sparflex now making capsules in U.S.
Sparflex California, subsidiary of the Sparflex Group, started producing polylam and PVC capsules for wines and spirits at a new facility in Ukiah, Calif., in August. Inertia to launch free compliance service
Inertia Beverage Group, Inc., Napa, Calif., will launch its web-based Rethink Compliance Tool at the end of the month, allowing any winery to upload its products and individual order records for automatic analysis and comparison with state-by-state compliance regulations. FKI Logistex opens tech center
FKI Logistex, supplier of integrated material handling solutions, opened its new 31,000-square-foot training and demonstration center (left) in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 17. Athena system controls must temperature
Athena Controls, Inc., Plymouth Meeting, Pa., manufacturer of temperature and process control instrumentation, installed its new AcuTrolô temperature control system at Belleview Winery in New Jersey, to monitor and control must temperature during fermentation. Interpack seeks packaging entries
The Interpack Processes and Packaging trade show asks for entries for the packaging competition, to be held Apr. 24-30, 2008, in Düsseldorf, Germany. Manufacturers, designers and developers of packaging, packaging materials, graphics and packaging machinery may submit entries in eight different categories. Deadline for submissions is Dec. 15. Beltappo offers Wine Topper package
Beltappo, Inc., Washington state closure supplier, developed the Wine Topper package for consumer sales in wine tasting rooms and retail wine supply stores. The package includes six brightly colored T-top closures, with two different stubs, to fit most wine bottles after opening. They are dishwasher safe and recyclable. European Closure has moved
