Amorim completes "super plants."
Amorim Cork America, U.S. headquarters of Portugal's Amorim & Irmaos, S.A., world's largest manufacturer of natural wine cork stoppers, completed a $15 million modernization of the company's plants in Portugal, to increase production of technical and sparkling wine corks by more than 400 million units per year.

New Vine Logistics made board appointments.
New Vine Logistics, Napa, appointed Jordan Copland, executive vice president, strategic development at GSI Commerce, to its board of directors. Renaissance Mark to close Napa plant.
Renaissance Mark, Inc. will consolidate its Napa label printing business into its Montreal, Canada and Sparks, Nev. locations, but will retain a sales and technical presence in Northern California to serve its many winery clients. The move should be complete by mid-November.

Cork Supply will expand to Canada.
The Cork Supply Group, Benicia, Calif., will launch Cork Supply Canada for direct Canadian orders in early 2007. The company provides natural and synthetic corks, screwcaps, capsules and oak products.
