Ganau expects to double sales.
Ganau America, Sonoma purveyor of natural wine corks, announced it is on track to double annual sales for 2005; the company has also doubled its sales force.

Alcan names new GM.
Alcan Packaging Capsules of California, American Canyon, appointed Frederic Catteau as general manager. Previously, Catteau was an Alcan group business development manager in Europe and North America.

New purchasing manager at Demptos Glass.
Demptos Glass, Fairfield, Calif., appointed Zenen Wong as purchasing manager. Previously, she held a similar position at Sherwin-Williams Paints in Oakland, Calif.

Promotions at FKI Logistex.
FKI Logistex, St. Louis, Mo.-based supplier of integrated material handling systems, promoted Ken Thouvenot to VP of project management and engineering; Matt Wicks to director of systems engineering and Brett Felton to international sales manager. Dick Braatz was named vice president of manufacturing.

Ciatti issuing e-newsletter.
Joseph W. Ciatti Company, Marin County-based international grape and wine broker, has begun publishing Ciatti Insights, a bi-monthly e-newsletter.

Inoxpa names new sales manager.
Inoxpa USA, Santa Rosa, Calif. manufacturer of pumps, valves and agitators, named Terry Dewane sales manager. Previously, Dewane was with Amorim Cork America.

Saverglass hires packaging consultant.
Saverglass, Inc., Napa, Calif. bottle manufacturer, named Aurora Noel as sales packaging consultant for Napa and central and Southern California wine regions. Previously, Noel was with Cameo Sonoma.

Tapp wins label printing awards.
Tapp Technologies, Inc., Napa wine label printer, won the top marketing/end-use prizes at the 25th annual FINAT International Label Competition, for Norman Vineyards' 2004 Paso Robles Gewürztraminer and Indiana's Oliver Vineyard & Winery 2004 Gewürztraminer labels. Nolan and Hearn finalize merger.
James Nolan Construction, St. Helena, has merged with Hearn Construction, Vacaville, Calif., and will be operated under the holding company Napa Pacific, Inc. Both companies will retain their own names and identities, but will share resources, equipment and capital.

Benson Group opens N.Y. office.

Sopexa North America, a full-service marketing and communications agency, promoted Olivier Moreaux as president of North American operations and Greg Deligdisch as managing director of Sopexa USA.

Innerstave is now on the menu.
Innerstave, Sonoma supplier of oak barrel alternatives, has partnered with pastry chef Lionel Walter at San Francisco's Aqua Restaurant. Walter is using Innerstave's toasted French Oak Chips in an infusion for his version of crème brulée.

Marin County has new biofuel station.
